Coffee has long been the socially acceptable morning beverage. No matter who you are, you can drink coffee. Tea is a little different. It has the reputation of being the more genteel beverage, a choice for delicate ladies and people with sore throats. But that’s simply not the case. Tea can be badass; you just need the right monocle.
This very dapper T. rex exhorts you to enjoy a cup of tea with him with the phrase, “It’s a roaring good tea, old chap!” T. rex should know. It was much easier to get boiling water naturally during the late Cretaceous period, given all the volcanoes. That little cup and the top hat, however, were more complicated, especially considering the Family Castoridae (from which beavers descended) didn’t exist until the Eocene.
